A man has been charged with murder after the death of another man at Aldinga.

About 2.15pm on Monday 22 December, police were called to a caravan park on Tuit Road after a 71-year-old man was found deceased inside a cabin.

At the same time, a 49-year-old Aldinga man presented himself at a police station and was subsequently arrested over the incident.

Southern District CIB were assisted at the scene by Forensic Response crime scene investigators and Major Crime.

The arrested man has been charged with murder and refused police bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police advise this was not a random incident and both men were known to each other.

No one else is being sought in relation to the death and investigations are continuing.
