Police are investigating a serious incident that occurred at a Seaford shopping centre on this afternoon (Tuesday April 15).

Around 2.40pm on 15 April, emergency services were called to the shopping centre on Commercial Road following reports of a violent altercation between a man and a woman.

During the incident, the man sustained stab wounds to his neck. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman involved was detained at the scene and is currently assisting detectives from the Southern District with their investigation.

Police have confirmed that the incident is not believed to be random.
