It will be back to business as usual at Wirrina marina from 1 July, when the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) reintroduces fees.
The Marina St Vincent at Wirrina Cove will charge for boat ramp use, casual berthing and commercial operator use following improvements at the facility.
DIT took over management of the 210-berth marina in March 2020, after the Supreme Court ordered eviction of the previous lease holder.
This followed a lengthy court battle with operator Stephen Marks and his company New Wave Aerospace.
While fees previously applied they have not been collected since the takeover, while DIT worked to restore facilities and services at the marina.
This work has included maintenance of pontoons, CCTV and the appointment of an onsite marina manager.
Now that the work is complete DIT has reintroduced fees to help with the ongoing maintenance and management of the marina.
The fees will be in line with those charged at other similar facilities in South Australia.
For full details of the marina fees and charges visit the DIT website.
