Taking the stress and hard work out of marketing was the theme for the first 2021 Strathalbyn event for the Women in Business Regional Network.
The event, at the Victoria Hotel, had one of the largest attendances, with several new faces welcomed.
Similarly, nearly 30 women gathered at the Smiling Samoyed Brewery in Myponga last week to hear about smarter ways to market their business.
Network founder Carolyn Jeffrey from Victor Harbor was the presenter, urging women to put themselves in the shoes of their marketing targets and to take time to plan and schedule marketing.
“I’ve been presenting smarter ways to market as I’ve seen many women, particularly during 2020, spending a lot of time and stressing about their marketing. It doesn’t need to be that hard, and we’ve got better things to do with our time.”
Among the tips given were to identify and connect mentally with customers, to monitor marketing response and to plan and schedule.
“Those in small business often have to do everything in their business, including marketing, so it’s important that they have simple and manageable tools and advice they can use to make the job easier so they can focus on running their business and doing what they love.”
The next McLaren Vale/Southern Suburbs event will be a dinner on March 9 at Sourc’d Wine and Coffee Bar in Aldinga Beach when the topic will be automation, finance and HR matters.
The next Strathalbyn dinner is scheduled for Monday, April 12 when Samantha Docking will speak about automation, finance and HR.
The Women in Business Regional Network is open to business owners, managers, staff and those dreaming of owning their own business. You don’t have to be a member to attend events, but bookings are essential via Eventbrite.com.au.
