After its successful launch in 2022, McLaren Vale’s Grenache & Gourmet festival is back, starting tomorrow, Friday 15 September - International Grenache Day.
Visitors are invited to join McLaren Vale’s winemakers as they celebrate the region’s world-class Grenache and Grenache-blends through a range of carefully curated tastings, Masterclasses and dining experiences.
The two-week festival celebrates not only the world-class Grenache and Grenache-blends the region is famed for, but its abundance of exceptional wine, food, and tourism experiences.
Organised by the McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association and supported bythe South Australian Tourism Commission, Grenache & Gourmet runs through to the Labour Day long weekend - 2 October.
The impressive list of over 40 events ranges from high-end wine dinners to VIP and vertical tastings, behind the scenes winery and vineyard experiences to casual food, wine and music gatherings.
It will offer everyone - from bon vivants to the wine-curious - the opportunity to experience and enjoy this vibrant, versatile variety and learn why James Halliday heralds Grenache as, “McLaren Vale’s secret weapon”.
McLaren Vale’s long history of Grenache is world-renowned, and the region is home to some of the oldest vines in the world.
The region’s unique geology, Mediterranean-like climate and plethora of awarded producers mean its reputation as one of the world’s leading Grenache regions continues to grow.
Tickets for Grenache & Gourmet events are available now via the website or directly from participating venues.
