Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has proposed a roundabout for the intersection of Mawson, Battunga and Nottage Roads in Meadows to improve safety.

It says the draft design includes better crossings for walkers and cyclists, improved traffic flow, and easier access for heavy vehicles with the final result a safer, smoother intersection.

The plan proposes new raised pedestrian crossings and pedestrian crossing refuges.

DIT has invited the community to have input on the final design of the roundabout, with two information sessions at the Meadows Memorial Hall.

They will be held on Thursday 22 May from 4pm to 6pm and on Saturday 24 May from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
