Meadows has continued their undefeated season after a thrilling one-wicket victory over Aldgate at Aldgate Oval. The home side won the toss and decided to bat first and their innings was dominated by opening batsman Josh Callaghan, who posted his highest ‘A’ grade score of 87 (11 x 4’s , 2 x 6’s). Skipper Jake Turnbull (22) was the only other Aldgate batsman to pass 20. Rohan Reid bowled unchanged throughout the innings for Meadows to finish with 3/49 (20). Max Buckley took three wickets in his last over to snare 3/53 (9). The visitors were in early trouble at 3/35 before Rohan Reid (18) and Max Buckley (44) added 45 for the fourth wicket to put the Bulldogs back on top. Once this pair was dismissed, wickets fell at regular intervals as Meadows were soon back in trouble at 8/126. Skipper Brad Dawe was still in and he held the key as 10 runs were required from the last over. Dawe hit the first ball for six before being dismissed next ball for 45 and then youngster Brad Louch hit a boundary to bring up the winning runs with a ball to spare. Brian Stephens 4/34 (9) and Turnbull 3/48 (14) were the multiple wicket takers for Aldgate.

Kangarilla won their second consecutive game with a tough 22-run victory at Stirling. Kangarilla batted first and were in early trouble at 3/47 with their top three batsmen back in the shed. Enter young guns Cole Davy and Carlos Venter who added a match changing 85-run fourth wicket stand. Davy was very aggressive as he scored 84 (5 x 4’s, 6 x 6’s), his highest score for Kangarilla. Venter went on to make a valuable 40 as the visitors ended with a very competitive 9/186 from their 40 overs. Jacob Gonzalez was the pick of the Stirling bowlers taking 3/30 (9). The Eagles were under early pressure with their top three batsman failing to make double figures before Jack Read (31), Pete Fryer (31), Ben Zampa (28) and Jacob Kemp (26) got the home side back in the contest before eventually being bowled out for 164 in the 39th over. Kangarilla skipper Che Martinsen led the way with the ball to take 4/35 (11.5) and he was well supported by Ryan Smallman (3/34) and Jack Evans (2/38).

Mount Lofty got back on the winners list with a comprehensive nine-wicket away victory over Bridgewater. The home side struggled through their 40 overs to reach 8/125. At one stage the Raiders were 2/83 after Jackson Hooper (37) and Luke Hoyle (29) had added 66 for the third wicket. Once this pair was dismissed there was very little resistance apart from Charlie Birnie who made 23 not out. Six Redcaps bowlers took wickets with debutant Aaron Smith snaring 3/10 (3). Mount Lofty got off to an excellent start in the run chase with Nick Justice (49 not out) and Josh Healey (42) adding 76 for the first wicket before Smith finished the game quickly with 31 not out from just 17 balls.
