For those who need to slow the pace of life, Victor Harbor library will offer a series of free evening workshops on meditation and mindfulness.
They will explore different techniques that invite more presence and calm into everyday life.
Participants will develop new skills to respond to life’s challenges for better health and wellbeing in 45-minute sessions.
They can attend any or all of the six workshops, run by graduate meditation teacher Claudia, from the Australian Centre for Meditation and Mindfulness .
The sessions are a part of its Community Work Placement program, which provides graduates with work experience while offering the benefits of meditation and mindfulness to the community.
They include talk, guided meditations and handouts in a safe and supportive space and will be held on Wednesdays at 5pm, starting 9 August.
