Every family has a story. Join Australian author Caro Hope Mathews at the Victor Harbor library on Thursday 2 September as she introduces her book Hope is my Second Name.
The book recounts her family’s travels through India and South-East Asia.
Hear about the joy and peril of writing family stories and learn how these stories gradually unearthed history and depths of meaning into the lives of the Mathews family.
Dr Carolyn Mathews migrated to Australia with her family from Singapore in the 1950s.
She had a successful career as a university educator and researcher, but her family stories and a desire to know her shrouded family history led to her writing her first book.
This is a free event is free, but a gold coin donation on entry, for the library, would be greatly appreciated.
