Bestselling author Victoria Purman will present her new book The Radio Hour at Victor Harbor Library next Thursday 27 June.
Taking a look at the golden years of radio broadcasting in post-war Australia, the story is a celebration of the extraordinary unseen women who wrote radio serials that captured the nation.
A frequent visitor to the south coast, Victoria is known for her novels The Nurses' War, The Women's Pages, The Land Girls, The Three Miss Allens and The Last of the Bonegilla Girls.
She is a regular guest at writers festivals, a mentor and workshop presenter and has been a judge for multiple fiction prizes.
This free event will run from 6pm to 7pm; bookings are essential online.
