Mia deserves a homeCould you open your heart and home to Mia?

Meet our lovable Pets of the Week. They are looking for their forever homes thanks to the RSPCA Lonsdale Shelter.

Mia and Sookie are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week. These loving animals are waiting to find their perfect family. If you think that could be you, read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Mia

After nearly 600 days in RSPCA South Australia’s care, Mia is desperate to find her forever home.

Three-year-old Mia (AID 175418) is the sweetest and most lovable lady you’ll ever met.

When Mia first came into RSPCA’s care, she was very fearful and timid, but thanks to the love, care and training provided by her amazing foster carer and RSPCA SA’s dog-care team, Mia has regained her confidence and is now thriving.

This delightful dog does have some ongoing medical needs and requires a committed pawrent.

Thankfully, Mia’s medication costs will be fully covered for the first year, thanks to some generous donors who have joined Team Mia.

This gorgeous girl is a 'people dog' and requires a caring mama or papa who is home more often than not. Could you open your heart and home to Mia?

Cat of the Week – Sookie

This beautiful girl is Sookie (AID 187828) and she’s currently living at RSPCA South Australia’s Lonsdale shelter while she waits to find her special someone.

One-year-old Sookie is a sweet angel and deserves a happy home to call her own.

She can be a little shy around new faces and may hide at first, but she’ll come around very quickly.

Sookie is a foodie, so if you want to speed up the getting to know you process, food is the key to her heart.

Sookie would make the most delightful cat companion to a kind and caring pawrent.

She’s open to sharing her home with other fur-residents but would like a slow introduction to ensure a smooth transition.

As always, RSPCA’s cat-care team will be there every step of the way to help Sookie settle into her new home.

Find out more about Sookie and how to adopt her.
