A 33-year-old Milang man has been caught speeding at 188 km/h at Strathalbyn.

His wife and three young children (aged under five) were in the car at the time.

The man was recorded doing the dangerous speed in a 100km/h zone on Nile Mile Road at Strathalbyn at just before 6pm on Sunday.

He was reported for aggravated extreme speed, issued with an immediate 12 month loss of licence and his car was impounded.

He will be summonsed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court at a later date.
