It has been a cool summer so far, but there are plenty of indoor activities on offer for the school holidays when the outdoors does not appeal.
COVID-19 has limited the scale and scope of many school holiday programs this summer, but there is fun to be found across the Fleurieu.
Here is what is on for the kids next week, from 11-17 January.

Make it Rain – 10-11am
FREE Bookings Essential. Suitable for ages 5 and above.
Make a rain stick and hear the sound of rain when you turn it upside down. Decorate your rain stick using our craft material supplied.
Wednesday 13 January
Life Long Ago - 2-2.45pm.
FREE Bookings Essential. Suitable for ages 4-12 years.
Go back millions of years to discover the wonder of dinosaurs. This incursion brings prehistoric life into the library. In large sandboxes, children will discover and identify fossils from some of the most iconic dinosaurs of the past.
Learn where each dinosaur lived, where they came from, what they ate and much more.
Thursday 14 January
Secret Book Box - 10-11am.
FREE Bookings Essential. Suitable for ages 5 and above.
Design and decorate a secret box of treasures. Using recycled books from the library and many of the craft supplies available, decorate your paper mache book box.

Monday 11 January
Inflatable Run – 1.30-3.30pm. Suitable for ages 6+ who are confident swimmers in deep water.
Take on the inflatable obstacle course and practice for Mega Splash.
Tuesday 12 January
Cheap Tuesday 10am-2pm $2 entry for kids 4-15 years.
Wednesday 13 January
Swing n Splash -12.30-2pm. Suitable for ages 6+ who are confident swimmers in deep water.
Jump, swing, soar and splash with a giant inflatable rope swing.
Thursday 14 January
Pool Bingo – 11.30am-12noon. Suitable for all ages.
Grab a floating bingo set and hop in the pool for a new twist on an old favourite. Watch out for your favourite movie characters, five in a row and you’ve got BINGO!
Friday 15 January
Water Volleyball – 12noon-3pm Suitable for confident swimmers in deep water.
Grab a friend and have some fun. Enjoy the giant inflatable volleyball net.
Saturday 16 January
Mega Splash Family Day - 1-4pm Suitable for the whole family aged 7+. Must be confident swimmers in deep water.
This mega inflatable obstacle course is one of a kind! Climb, run, bounce and splash your way across the entire 25m pool. $5 additional fee.

Recycling Fun - 10.30-11.30am, 12-1pm & 1.30-2.30pm.
Grow a plant in a compostable cup. Make a vegetable/fruit bag using a t-shirt. Suitable for Primary school age children.

ONKAPARINGA
The City of Onkaparinga will offer Indoor craft and storytime at its various libraries as well as outdoor activities such as creating mandalas on the beach and taking a guided reef ramble.

IM Kids - The Takeover: Superheroes in Training
From 9.30am – several sessions for different age groups.
Cost $5 to $10 depending on session, includes morning tea and coffee.
Awesome hang zones, team games, music and dancing, jumping castles, water games, giant inflatable waterslide and loads of more fun for the kids.
Feel free to dress up as your favourite superhero.
Parents of preschool-age children are required to stay with their children.

Animals Anonymous - Interactive Wildlife Show - 10.30-11.30am & 11.45am-12.45pm - For all ages.
Visit some beautiful Australian native animals in the library. Animals Anonymous bring a range of animals including a baby crocodile, big python, baby pythons, goanna, gecko, bearded dragon, bettong, squirrel glider, dunnarts, and a bird - either a tawny frogmouth or a parrot.
