Fleurieu Connections has advised of further night works for barrier installation on the Main South Road duplication project.
Night works will continue for barrier installation along the western side of Main South Road between Malpas and Port roads, Aldinga.
To ensure the works can be undertaken safely and efficiently, the majority of works will be undertaken at night, starting Sunday 17 July, to the morning of Friday 29 July, between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
There will be no works on Friday and Saturday nights.
Works will include installation of traffic barriers; road signage; line marking; removal of centre wire rope; and road pavement repairs.
There will also be removal of vegetation where it overhangs Main South Road.
Fleurieu Connections says some noise disturbance can be expected at times while these works are completed, however the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to nearby residents and businesses as much as practically possible.
To safely undertake these works, speed and lane restrictions and at times detours will be in place during the works.
Fleurieu Connections asks road users to please plan ahead, allow extra travel time and take extra care when workers are on site.
“Observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.
“Access to properties will be maintained throughout the works wherever possible, with advance notice provided if there is a need to temporarily restrict driveway access.
“The Fleurieu Connections Alliance appreciates your co-operation and patience while these important works are undertaken.
