MRI services and breast imaging will be available on the South Coast for the first time from early next year. 

Currently, residents have to travel 60km to Adelaide to access the services.

Dr Jones and Partners will be constructing a ‘brand-new stand alone purpose built clinic’ in the centre of Victor Harbor.

Plans lodged with the state government show the site of the now-closed Apollon Motel in Torrens Street is o be redeveloped into a $30M private health hub.

The Victor Medical Centre will occupy the new centre with radiology services and other specialists.

The Apollon Motel closed after being sold early this year. At the time it was providing both tourist accommodation and short-term accommodation to people unable to find long term rentals.
