Emergency services are responding to several fires across the Fleurieu Peninsula this afternoon, with a significant number of crews and air support deployed as conditions remain challenging.
The largest response is currently at Tooperang, near Nangkita Road, where a grass fire was reported just after 4.35pm. A total of 53 firefighting units are in attendance, and warnings have been issued in relation to this incident.
Nearby, a grass fire at the intersection of Stones Ford Road and Nangkita Road was reported at 4.41pm, with 20 units responding. Shortly after, at 4.46pm, crews were also called to a building fire on Nangkita Road, with four units currently on scene.
Further north in the region, a grass fire at Onkaparinga Hills on Kimbley Road was reported at 5.28pm, with 12 units responding. Air support has also been deployed to the broader Clarendon area, with two aircraft assisting firefighting efforts from 4.52pm.
All incidents are currently listed as going, and firefighting crews remain actively engaged.
