There is still time to plan a visit to Kangaroo Island for the New Shoots Music Festival at Penneshaw Oval on Saturday 2 April.
The inaugural festival was postponed from last November due to COVID and the time lapse has allowed organisers to add to the already impressive line-up for the one-day festival.
Melbourne trio Something For Kate, Iconic Aussie rockers Jebediah and South Australia’s own Bad//Dreems will now join Ash Grunwald, Maddy Jane, Tilly Tjala Thomas, Rat Tamango, and KI locals Charlotte Gilfillan and Sam Kempster.
New Shoots was first dreamed up on the fire-grounds in 2020, where three members of the CFS felt motivated to do more for the community.
The trio realised the enormity of rebuilding and identified the opportunity to create a significant music event that would lift the community's spirits on Kangaroo Island and raise money for those affected by the fires.
The New Shoots Music Festival pays tribute to the new life now emerging from the natural landscape.
This event is a great chance to support a community that’s still in need, while soaking up all the good vibes in the process. It is for all ages, but 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Camping and shuttle buses are available. Find full details and tickets on the website.
