Department of Health and Aged Care staff will be at the Victor Harbor library to provide answers on the My Aged Care system on Tuesday 5 December.
People who need help with something they can’t quite manage anymore can find out how to access that help.
The session will cover the process and pathway to access a supported living situation, either aged care services in the home or residential aged care.
Experts who actually know the system will be on hand to provide all the useful information.
My Aged Care is the starting point to access government aged care services.
Find out about:
• the different types of aged care services available.
• who is eligible for services.
• how to arrange assessment for services.
• referrals to service providers.
• contributions to the cost of aged care.
There will be an opportunity for a 'Question and Answer' after the presentation.
The session will run from10.30am to 2.30pm; bookings are essential and can be made online.
The team from the Department of Health and Aged Care will return for a follow-up visit to the library on Wednesday 21 February 2024 for a 'Drop In' information session.
