Nature forum on the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island

The first of a series of Nature Forums around the state will be held at the Aldinga Institute Hall on Sunday 16 April.

Go along if you are passionate about action to protect the unique environment of the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.

It is a chance to discuss some of the serious issues threatening this beautiful region, and what a united community can do about it.

There will be presentations, a panel discussion and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions relating to local nature issues.

The panel will include the Deputy Premier and Minister for Climate, Environment and Water Susan Close.

Directly before and after the forum there will be an opportunity to meet and chat with local groups working on the ground to protect various parts of the Fleurieu and KI.

The groups will include:

·   Sellicks Woodlands & Wetlands Network.

·   The Wild South.

·   Willunga Environment Centre.

·   Kangaroo Island Eco-Action.

·   Hindmarsh Island Landcare.

·   Friends of Gulf of St Vincent.

·   Great Australian Bight Alliance.

The forum will run from 2pm to 4pm. It is free to attend but tickets should be reserved via Humantix.
