The wait for an appointment for a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the newly opened Victor Harbor COVID-19 clinic has already blown out to almost two months.
The centre only opened on Monday but has already proven popular.
The first available appointment to book a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine is now on 4 September.
People aged over 40 can also go to Noarlunga to receive their Pfizer vaccine.
As of Thursday afternoon, the earliest available Pfizer appointment at Noarlunga was on 25 July.
People aged 16-39 in rural areas are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine but have to attend a rural clinic to get their injection.
Aside from the new centre at Victor Harbor, there are rural clinics at Mount Barker and Murray Bridge.
Mount Barker has appointments available from 14 July and Murray Bridge from 27 July.
Multiple appointments to receive the Astra-Zeneca vaccine at the Victor Harbor clinic are available on the day or next day of booking.
The Astra-Zeneca vaccine also remains available via GPs and will be available at local pharmacies in the near future.

There was one new case of COVID-19 today, reported from a medi-hotel.
There have been a total of 814 cases notified in South Australia.
Today’s case is a man in his 20s who acquired his infection overseas and has been in a medi-hotel since his arrival.
Another man in his 20s remains in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition.
New South Wales is currently experiencing an outbreak and currently has 376 locally acquired active cases of COVID-19.
Forty people are currently in NSW hospitals as a result, including 17 aged under 55 and 10 aged under 35.
Of those in hospital, 11 are in intensive care, including one patient in their 30s.
Three of these patients have been placed on ventilators.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison today announced a delivery of 300 000 COVID-19 vaccines to NSW would be brought forward.
