It may be time to celebrate Christmas in July, but preparation are already underway for the 2023 Onkaparinga Christmas pageant.

The pageant will be held on Sunday 19 November, from 10am to 1pm at Christies Beach.

The parade will travel down Beach Road and wind up at Rotary Park for the community celebration Christmas in the Park. 

It will include marching bands, dance groups, sporting clubs, community groups and businesses and culminate in Santa’s appearance. 

Applications are now open to be a part of the pageant fun and can be made online.

For the first time Onkaparinga Council will host two pageant workshops to help community organisations prepare for the event.

The workshops will be held at 5.30pm on Monday 10 July and Thursday 20 July at  the council offices in Noarlunga Centre and Coromandel Community Centre. 

They have been designed to help with decorations and ideas for entries and share details about the application and assessment process.
