Alexandrina Council is planning to build a BMX track at the Clayton Bay foreshore reserve and calling for the community to have input into the design.
The proposed site is next to the playground and public toilets.
The council says the term BMX track can mean different things to different people, so it wants to know what type of facility would be preferred.
It says any new track needs to allow for entry-level and beginner riders and to progress to intermediate and potentially advanced riders.
There are three options up for discussion: a pump track; a skills park; or dirt jumps.
Details and examples of the three options can be viewed on the Alexandrina MySay website.
Community consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 7 November. Construction of the new track is expected to happen in early to mid 2026.
