Alexandrina Council will replace its community grants program for the next financial year with two new grants to aid recovery after the COVID-19 crisis.

The first is aimed at economic development and events recovery and will be offered in two rounds.

Round one will be offered from mid July to mid August with round two offered from mid January to mid February 2021.

The second new grant aims for community reactivation and will be open from mid July until all funds have been disbursed.

Council says the new grants recognise the significant impact the virus continues to have on the community.

Full information on the recovery and reactivation grants and how to apply for them will be available on the council website from early July.
