Morphett Vale Medicare Urgent Care Clinic opened yesterday, Thursday 28 December.

The bulk billing service is located at 1 Doctors Road at the Morphett Vale Family Practice, but is a separate clinic.

It is for patients needing care for urgent, but not life-threatening health conditions, who cannot get an appointment at their usual GP.

It is open seven days a week, from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 3pm on weekends and public holidays.

No appointment or referral is needed to see a doctor or nurse on duty. 

Medicare Urgent Care Clinics provides timely care for sprains and fractures, cuts, wounds and minor illnesses, infections and burns to avoid waiting for treatment in a hospital emergency department.
