From free fireworks displays on the south coast to free flicks in the vale, there is a lot of entertainment on offer to see in the New Year on the Fleurieu.
GOOLWA - Fireworks Off the Bridge
Presented by the Goolwa Aquatic Club, this event is poised to entertain revellers throughout the Goolwa Wharf Precinct and surrounds.
There will be on-water and road restrictions to cover the event; go to the Alexandrina Council website for full details.
MCLAREN VALE
Fox Creek Wines summer series features kids’ activities and free screenings of movies ET and The Goonies. Reserve a spot via Eventbrite.
NORMANVILLE - Gig on the Green
It’s the end of an era with the traditional pageant no more, but the start of a new one at the Village Green on Main South Road.
The free entertainment, from 5pm to 9pm, includes music from Perfect Strangers and there will be food stalls and bar facilities. Full details at Visit Fleurieu Coast.
VICTOR HARBOR
Warland Reserve will host fun family entertainment from 7.30pm.
The kids’ early show fireworks start from 9.45pm, followed by a midnight firework spectacular to wrap up the year and bring in 2023.
Both fireworks shows will go from the Granite Island Causeway and can be viewed along the south coast.
The Beachside markets will also hold an end-of-year special twilight market on the foreshore, with crafts, food, music and lots more, from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.
