The Victor Harbor library will offer a Ngarrindjeri language workshop for those interested in the local Indigenous tongue.
The workshop will be led by local Ngarrindjeri woman and Kyla McHughes.
She is an artist, Treasurer of MIPAAC (Miwi-inyeri Pelepi-ambi Aboriginal Corporation) and a Ngarrindjeri language teacher.
Kyla will teach some local Ngarrindjeri place names, their origins and simple greetings.
The workshop will provide a safe and fun space to practice speaking some Ngarrindjeri words.
It will he held on Thursday 25 August at 10am and is free of charge.
