South Australia has recorded five COVID-19 cases but will not be going into lockdown.
A miner from the Tanami gold mine and four members of his family have tested positive to COVID-19.
Fortunately, the man and his family did not leave their home between his return and the positive test results being registered.
There will be some further restrictions as a result of the positive tests, with the number of people allowed at home gatherings reduced to 10.
It is also recommended that South Australians wear masks in all public areas and work from home wherever possible.
The miner spent 7 hours at the Alice Springs Airport on Friday June 25 before flying to Adelaide on flight VA1742 which arrived at 5.45pm.
He stopped to get takeaway on his way home but SA Health has not yet released information about that site.
Chief Public Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier says it has not yet been determined whether it will be considered an exposure site.
The miner was tested on June 26 after a co-worker at the mine site was found to be positive for COVID-19.
This initial test was negative but since then four of his five household members have returned positive results.
He was retested on Tuesday after developing mild symptoms.
Tanami is a FIFO gold mine located in the Tanami desert, 270 kilometres from the remote Aboriginal community of Yuendumu.
Alice Springs has been placed into a 72 hour lockdown from 1pm today as a result of the time the man spent at the airport there.
Restaurants and entertainment venues across the Fleurieu have already started to react to border closures and COVID-19 changes which restrict occupancy levels to one person per two square metres at all defined public activities and gatherings.
The Emerald Restaurant in Victor Harbor will be closed for duration of the school holidays as a result.
Mare Bello Pizza in Normanville announced on their Facebook page yesterday that they would only open for takeaway until further notice.
They thanked their customers for their patience and understanding and said it had not been an easy decision.
The Murray Delta Juke Joint in Dowdodd Cres in Goolwa said that performances planned for this weekend by the Bald Eagles would be rescheduled to September 11 and 12 and that all ticket holders would be notified.
