Police have apprehended a man following a reported theft at a shopping complex in Noarlunga Centre early this morning.
Authorities allege the incident occurred just after 1 a.m. on Monday, December 30, when the suspect gained access to a storage area at a sporting goods store by cutting through a fence.
Police patrols, along with Police Dog Axe and PolAir, were dispatched to the scene to track down the individual. The suspect was found hiding in nearby bushes.
A 45-year-old man from Port Willunga has been charged with trespassing, theft, and providing false information to police. He has been granted bail and is scheduled to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on January 30, 2025.
