Calling all Fleurieu businesses and employees… nominations are now open for the 2023 Excellence in Business Awards.
It’s time for to recognise business efforts across the Peninsula by these awards, presented by Business Victor Harbour (BVH) in collaboration with Bendigo Bank.
BVH is now on the hunt for outstanding businesses and their employees, across 14 distinct categories.
New businesses, agriculture specialists, sustainability - there is a category for every kind of enterprise.
There are two employee categories available - Employee of the Year and Trainee/Apprentice of the Year award.
Nomination fees start as low as $30 for members of Business Victor Harbor and $100 for non-members.
Colin Shearing, Executive Officer of Business Victor Harbour, is excited to have an event that showcases the Fleurieu’s best and most valued businesses.
“This is an opportunity for any business, especially any new businesses, to engage and promote themselves to be recognised at this prestigious event.”
“A thriving community can only function with thriving businesses. You can’t have one without the other. This event is recognised across the state, so businesses in the Fleurieu can be truly represented.”
Mr Shearing is thrilled to announce that premier Peter Malinauskas and other members of the state government will attend the awards to demonstrate their support of regional businesses.
“It is important we invest our dollars in local businesses and that these hard-earned dollars stay within the community,” he says.

The awards will be announced at a prestigious black-tie event on Friday 1 December at the Victor Harbor Convention Centre.
Tickets to the awards night will be available from Friday 1 September – be there to celebrate business success on the Fleurieu.
