Electoral Commission South Australia (ECSA) will host an online briefing session for intending council candidates tonight, Thursday 23 May.

Nominations are now open to fill the vacancy in the District Council of Yankalilla Light Ward following the resignation of Councillor Bill Verwey, who stepped down for personal reasons.

Nine councillors represent the district's two wards, four in the rural Field Ward and five in the urban Light Ward.

Prospective candidates must submit a short profile outlining their experience and qualifications and may also provide a recent photograph.
