Police are investigating an assault at Normanville early yesterday morning.

Just after 4.30am Saturday 6 May police were called to Huntingdale Drive, Normanville after reports of a disturbance.

On arrival patrols located two injured men. One had allegedly been stabbed in the arm and the other punched in the face.

The two injured men are aged 45 and 24 from Morphett Vale. The 45-year-old man was taken Flinders Medical Centre for treatment.  The other man was treated at the scene.

Following an investigation, the 24-year-old man Morphett Vale man was arrested and is being interviewed by police.

All parties are known to each other, and this is not a random incident.
