Onkaparinga will kick off the Fleurieu Christmas festivities with its annual Pageant tomorrow, Sunday 19 November.

The community celebration starts at 10am at Hunt Crescent, travelling down Beach Road and winding up at Rotary Park for Christmas in the Park until 1pm.

A procession of marching bands, dance groups, sporting clubs, community groups and businesses will parade before Santa makes his appearance at the end.

At Christmas in the Park kids can have a photo with Santa and post their letter about what they want for Christmas in the special mail box.

There will be food stalls and a Christmas market, so the seasonal shopping can begin.

Five-year-old Alex scored a ride with Santa for winning the Best Christmas Cracker Joke competition.
