Online safety at the library

Online scams seem to be multiplying lately, with Australians reportedly losing millions to them each year.

So it’s timely that the Adelaide Techguy, Richard Pascoe, will be at the Victor Harbor library on Friday October 22 to talk about scams and how to avoid them.

Richard is a regular on Adelaide and local radio; he explores online scams, the latest scams, the common scams, and how to avoid them.

His fun presentation will offer the opportunity to learn all about online safety, with tips and advice on what to do if you've been scammed.

The free session starts at 10.30am and will include time for questions and answers.

It is presented as part of Get Online Week; register to attend via Eventbrite.

The library is also running a new Tech Savvy Seniors program in October and November.

The interactive workshops are designed to help seniors feel confident using devices and the internet.

Details and bookings are available at the Victor Harbor library.
