Now is the time to voice an opinion on Victor Harbor’s parks, open spaces and sports facilities.
The City of Victor Harbor says part of what makes the town special is its access to open spaces and recreation facilities.
The council wants to hear about local experiences and ideas to help plan for, maintain and activate these important assets.
The central question is how do people use the parks, playgrounds, trails, sports facilities and open space areas?
Public input will help with developing the Victor Harbor Sport, Recreation and Open Space Strategy, which will provide a long-term vision for these spaces and facilities, and help make the most of them.
The strategy will be developed alongside the concept plan for the council’s proposed Regional Community, Sport and Recreation Precinct.
This will see the council addressing the need for both indoor and outdoor recreation activities and facilities.
The survey will provide a ‘pulse check’ with the community to reaffirm key issues and areas for exploration as a part of the development of this strategy.

The consultation period closes at 5pm on Monday, 2 January 2023.
