Wisanger won their first game of the season after defeating Parndana by 97 points during round three action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) yesterday. The Panthers led by 51 points at halftime, before kicking 10 goals to three in the second half to win 18.11 (119) to 3.4 (22). Luke Shurven was the standout forward as he kicked seven goals for Wisanger, while Nick Shurven (3), Ezra Foster (2) and Jai Turner (2) were the other multiple goalkickers. Wisanger’s best players included Ezra Foster, Sam Snowball, Nick Shurven, Jesse Rule and Luke Shurven. Best players for Parndana were Trad McMulkin, Eli Kuchel, Zach Trethewey, Jacob Harris and Ben Gaskin.
Dudley United remained undefeated following their 44-point win at Kingscote yesterday. The Eagles led by 14 points at three-quarter time, before kicking five goals to one in the final term to win 10.12 (72) to 2.16 (28). Ethan Stoeckel (4), Frank Packer (2) and Mitch Charlton (2) were the multiple goalkickers for Dudley United. David Ascoli and Jordan Connell were the goalkickers for an inaccurate Kingscote. Best players for Dudley United included Jack Packer, Matthew Houchin, Rory Florance, Charlton and Tait Florance. Riley Puckridge, Frank Colman, Paul Green, Connell and Seb Zadow were named best for Kingscote.
