Panthers on the prowl in the Kangaroo Island Football League

Wisanger moved two games clear on top of the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) ladder with a comprehensive 97-point win against second placed Dudley United at Wisanger on Saturday. The final score was Wisanger 22.20 (152) to Dudley United 7.13 (55). It was the second big loss in a row for Dudley United after they were undefeated through the first six rounds. Wisanger had eight different goalkickers with Khyal Stead leading the way with seven goals. He was ably supported by Sam Clifford (4), Jackson Lockett (3) and Luke Bowd (3). Clayton Willson kicked three goals for Dudley United. Luke Stewart, Dustin Cross, Stead, Liam Sampson and Brok Viney-Obst were named in the best players for the Panthers, while Ed Colley, Seb Wiech and Willson were among the best for the Eagles. 


Parndana won their second game in a row to keep the pressure on Dudley United for a top two spot. The Roosters travelled to Gosse to take on Western Districts and came away with a comfortable 58-point victory, 12.14 (86) to 4.4 (28). Reece Johnston kicked four goals for Parndana while Cam Florance kicked two goals for Western Districts. Zac Trethewey, Trad McMulkin, Frank May, Jesse Gaskin and Neil Adams were named in the best players for Parndana. Henry Riggs was best for the Saints with support from Josh Graham, Caleb Whittle, Lachlan Florance and Henry Hammat.
