Parndana handed Dudley United their first loss of the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) season yesterday with an upset 87-point demolition at Penneshaw during round seven action. The 19.14 (128) to 6.5 (41) victory was the Roosters’ third win of 2021 and consolidated their spot in the top four. Reece Johnston kicked nine goals in a best on ground display for Parndana while James Davis kicked three. Kyron Pepper was the only multiple goalkicker for the Eagles with two majors. Other good players for the Roosters were Ben Larsson, Nathan Trethewey, Ben Gaskin and Zac Trethewey. Best players for Dudley United were Ed Colley, Sam Winterhalder, Ryan Boers, Callum Willson and Stephen Clark.

Wisanger went to the top of the KIFL ladder following their 69-point win at home against Kingscote. Wisanger got off to a good start to lead by 20 points at quarter time and extended the margin to a handy 26 points at halftime. Kingscote were battling hard and after kicking five goals to four in the third term, the margin was reduced to 22 points at the final change. Wisanger then put their foot down and finished strongly as they kicked 8.8 to 1.3 in the last quarter to win 22.16 (148) to 11.13 (79). Wisanger had nine different goalkickers with Jackson Lockett kicking seven majors, while Luke Stewart and Dustin Cross kicked three goals each. Jake Austin and Paul Green kicked three goals each for Kingscote. Liam Sampson, Sam Snowball, Lockett, Brok Viney-Obst and Stewart were best for the Panthers. Rory Lovering was best for the Hounds and he was supported by Jayden Christophers, Jordan Connell, Luke Bruce and Austin. 

Western Districts had the bye.
