South Australian Power Network (SAPN) has advised it will undertake work to remove thirteen Aleppo Pine trees on Callington Road, Strathalbyn, opposite the Eastern Fleurieu School. 

SAPN has conducted an assessment of the trees regarding minimum legislative clearances requirements for overhead high voltage wires. 

It has advised that trimming the trees further is not an option and it will remove these trees on the first week of the July 2020 school holidays to minimise the disruption to the community.

Alexandrina Council will have the stumps ground down and the site restored.

Council further plans to replace the removed trees, in the 2020/21 financial year, when the resources and budget are available and the replacement species have been selected.
