Proposed expansion of Discovery Parks caravan park in Goolwa North requires rezoning of land on Kessell Road, which is open for public consultation.

Beston Parks Land Company, the owners of Discovery Parks, has initiated a planning code amendment to facilitate the proposal.

A Code Amendment is a proposal to change any of the policies, rules, or mapping within the Planning and Design Code – the statutory instrument used to assess development proposals in South Australia.

Alexandrina Council will provide feedback as a community stakeholder via its planning team.

It advises that others in the community can also submit their views on the rezoning of the land at 76 Kessell Road.

Private planning consultancy MasterPlan is managing the process, with details available on the PlanSA website.

The public consultation period closes at 5pm on Monday 23 September.
