Police investigate break-ins at Port Elliot and Middleton

Police are investigating two recent break-ins at Port Elliot and Middleton and are seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspects.


Between 1.30am and 3.30am on Monday 20 November, two unknown men unsuccessfully attempted to break into a property at Port Elliot.  They were disturbed by the homeowner and ran off.


It is believed the same pair then gained entry to a home at Middleton a short time later.


A woman sleeping in the Middleton property was confronted during the break-in, but not physically injured.


The break-ins are believed to be linked.


Police ask anyone who recognises the two men, described as about 183cm tall, with their faces covered by a balaclava or hoodie, or saw any suspicious vehicles or activity during these early hours of last Monday morning is asked to contact police.
