Here is a summary of the latest police and emergency services news on the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island.


Assistance sought after theft of vehicle


Police are investigating the theft of a white Ford utility from a Meadows business back in June.


Between 10am and 2.38pm on Monday 15 June, a white Ford utility with registration XRZ489 was stolen from a business premises on Mawson Road at Meadows.


About 2.40pm the stolen vehicle was seen on CCTV turning right onto Battunga Road from Mawson Road, then being driven erratically heading towards Echunga.


On Tuesday 16 June the utility was found abandoned in a church car park at Wembley Avenue, Bridgewater.  


The car was displaying registration plates S353ALH which had been stolen from a vehicle parked at Heathfield between 15 and 16 June.  Another registration plate S917APM was located in the vehicle, which had been stolen from a vehicle at Henley Beach between 14 and 15 June.


Police are seeking the assistance of the public and ask anyone with information about this matter to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.



Update: Serious Crash Sandergrove


Just before 9.20am, Monday 17 August 2020 police were called to the intersection of Alexandrina and Brookdale Roads after reports of a two-car crash.


The driver and passenger of the Toyota Yaris aged 61 and 63 from Victor Harbor were taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with critical injuries.


A 22-year-old female driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital also with critical injuries.


Alexandrina Road was closed between Michelmore Road and Tucker Road while Major Crash Officers examined the scene was later reopened with reduced speeds.
