Aldinga Police Station is one of seven to close to free up resources to deal with new COVID-19 Directions that came into effect at 6pm Tuesday 20 July.
The seven police stations closed from midday Wednesday 21 July to allow staff from the closed stations to be redeployed to assist with duties during the seven-day lockdown.
The 24-hour SAPOL police stations that will remain open are as follows:

Stations that have been closed are Aldinga, Netley, Glenelg, Henley Beach, Norwood, Salisbury and Golden Grove.
Assistant Commissioner Scott Duval says there will be no change to operational services provided by police in these areas.
“It is important to remember that the location of our ‘bricks and mortar’ stations does not impact on how long it takes police to respond to a call for assistance,” he says.
“General duties patrols are mobile and respond to tasking wherever they may be. If we receive a call from the public the closest available patrol will assist.”
The public should report anything suspicious by calling the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.

For people who report to the affected police stations on bail, appropriate changes will be made and communicated to report to another station (if that condition is still required).

Further advice will be provided at a later date regarding the re-opening of those Police Stations which do not operate 24 hours.
