Police warn of south coast E-Bike thefts

Police have received several reports of E-Bikes being stolen in and around the Goolwa and Victor Harbor areas in recent weeks.

These high-value items are increasingly being targeted by opportunistic thieves, often when left unsecured or visible in public spaces. Investigations are ongoing, and police are urging anyone who witnesses suspicious activity or has information about these thefts to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online

To help prevent further incidents, police are reminding all E-Bike owners to take extra precautions. E-Bikes should be stored out of sight and securely locked when not in use, even when kept at home. Using high-quality locks and securing bikes to immovable objects can significantly reduce the risk of theft. Owners are also encouraged to record serial numbers and consider GPS tracking options.
