Strangways Terrace in Port Elliot has been closed this week from North Terrace to Colman Place for council works.
Contractor works and installation of drains across Strangways Terrace will prevent access for the whole week, except for local homeowners.
Strangways Terrace will reopen to the public on Friday 26 June, subject to weather conditions and any unforeseen circumstances.
Next week council-appointed tree contractors will remove dead and uprooted pine trees from the Freemans Knob area in Port Elliot.
This will be stage 1 of a clean-up and revegetation project between Council and the Port Elliot Town and Foreshore Committee.
Works are anticipated to start on Monday 29 June and continue until Wednesday 1 July.
The car park between Harbourmasters Reserve and Continental Park on The Strand will be closed while work is undertaken and some paths in the area may be closed off.
Alexandrina council has apologised for any inconvenience caused, but says the works are necessary to provide continued asset improvements to the road and path network.
