Porties close in on double chance in Southern Football League Women's

Port Noarlunga consolidated their spot in the top-two after defeating Cove by 47 points during round 14 action in the Southern Football League Women’s (SFLW) competition at Port Noarlunga on Sunday. ‘Porties’ won every quarter on their way to a 10.6 (66) to 3.1 (19) victory. Dakotah Buckskin and Philippa Worthley kicked three goals each for Port Noarlunga and they were joined in the best players by Zoe Flesfadar, Abby Dittmar, Shakira Dolman and Amber O’Hanlon. Best players for the Cobras included Dana O'Brien, Ella Gill, Naomi Jones, Jessica Stewart, Hayley Donnell and Jaymie Savaidis.


Reynella stayed top of the ladder after a comprehensive 115-point win against Ironbank Cherry Gardens. The Wine Flies led by 49 points at halftime, before kicking a further 10 goals to one in the second half to win 17.21 (123) to 1.2 (8). Shanique West was best-on-ground for Reynella with seven goals, while Sarah Bourn kicked four majors. Lara Sarre kicked the only goal for the Thunderers. Joining West in the best players for Reynella were Zannah Loxton, Mia Dunsmore, Charlotte Watson, Sienna Garner and Rebecca Hunter. Best for Ironbank Cherry Gardens included Olivia Walker-Obushak, Josie Harris, Jessie O’Brien, Audrey Myers, Katherine Davey and Sarre.
