With the soil still holding some warmth from summer, autumn is the perfect time to plant nearly everything.
Victor Harbor library will host a workshop on Thursday 11 April, where Crystal will show what do now to get the garden ready for winter.
This includes what seeds to sow now for winter crops and when to put home-grown seedlings into the ground, including edibles like garlic and potatoes.
She will also discuss which plants to feed now, with what, and in what amounts.
How much should natives and hedges be pruned now and which fruit trees are best pruned in summer versus winter?
All autumn/winter gardening questions will be answered in this free workshop, which will run from 2pm to 3pm.
Reserve a place via the Victor Harbor library website.
