There will be a blast from the past when Aldinga Beach Primary School opens its 2001 time capsule in a special event on Tuesday 20 February.

Former students, teachers, parents and the wider community members are invited to the school on Quinliven Road for the opening.

COVID restrictions prevented the  20-year anniversary opening of the capsule, which would have been in October 2021. 

The celebrations kick off at 5.30pm with nibbles and chat, with the chance for reunions for those who haven’t caught up for a while.

Principal Amanda Badcock will give a formal welcome at 6.30pm, followed by the capsule opening at 6.40pm.

At 7pm school tours will take place, with the time capsule contents on display.

The event will coincide with the school’s annual Meet & Greet the teacher night.
