Learn how to winter prune fruit trees with Amanda from Willunga Fruit Tree Pruning at the McLaren Vale Visitor Centre on Tuesday 20 June.

Including a hands-on demonstration, this workshop will cover the techniques needed to give the confidence to prune trees at home. 

Amanda will show how to prune and shape fruit trees to minimise disease and maximise fruit production. 

With a focus on stone fruit trees, participants will learn what tools are needed and basic training and pruning techniques.

The workshop will also delve into why and when to prune, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of pruning in winter.

Organised by the Willunga Environment Centre and Sustainable Onkaparinga, it will run from 10.30am to 11.30am.
