The votes are in and the City of Onkaparinga’s best businesses have been revealed.
Sixteen businesses were recognised through the ON Business Awards, which culminated in a celebration last night (Wednesday 12 November) at the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre.
More than 8000 votes were received for the finalists, which were chosen from 340 businesses out of more than 3800 nominations.
The awards are in their second year, and this year include two special categories to recognise businesses for the way they have survived and thrived during the challenging Covid-19 pandemic.
The Hall of Fame award, for a business that’s operated in the Onkaparinga region for more than 20 years, went to Wood ‘N’ Logs in Seaford Meadows.
Wood ‘N’ Logs specialises in pergola and landscaping services and supplies and firewood. The family business, which started in 1984, is an iconic fixture of Seaford Road.
The business celebrated the win with a post on its Facebook page.
“We are humbled to be awarded the Hall of Fame award at the City of Onkaparinga #ONbusinessawards tonight,” the post said.
“Thank you to our fantastic directors and our awesome team on the ground, it’s wonderful to be a part of such a great long running family owned business,” it continued.
“Thanks also to our wider community for voting for us in this category, it is appreciated more than we can express!”
