Reigning premier Pulse started their premiership defence in fine style with a 39-24 win against Kangarilla in the Grand Final rematch during opening round action in the Southern Hills Netball Association. Rebecca Higgins from Kangarilla won the Flo Staker Anzac Medal as the best player on court. In other games, Clarendon had a big 75-18 win against McLaren Flat, Noarlunga defeated local rival Seaford Storm 46-39, while Southern Stars got their 2022 campaign off to a great start with a 37-31 win over Aldinga.
